Nadan Coconut Rice
A tasty rice recipe with grated coconut, coconut milk and other ingredients

- 4 cups Brown rice Kuthari
- Coconut milk of 1 coconut
- 2 cups 1st milk
- 6 cups 2nd milk
- 1/2 cup Coconut grated
- 1/4 tsp Cumin seeds Jeerakam
- 1/2 tsp Fennel seeds Perum jeerakam
- 1 no Cinnamon Karugapatta
- 2 nos Cardamom Elakka
- 2 nos Cloves Grambu
- 1/2 cup Red onion chopped
- 1/4 cup Oil
- 2 branch Curry leaves
- Salt As reqd
For preparing nadan coconut rice, first cook the rice in the 2nd coconut milk.
When the milk drains add the 1st milk.
Grind the ingredients coconut, cumin seeds, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves and fennel seeds. Add it to the rice and mix well. Add salt as required.
Heat oil in a pan, fry red onion and curry leaves. Add this mixture to the rice and mix well.
Serve hot.
Nadan coconut rice is ready.
