Cauliflower Fritters

Cauliflower is dipped in a batter and deep fried

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups Cauliflower
  • 1 cup Bengal gram powder Kadala parippu podi
  • 1/2 cup All purpose flour Maida
  • 1 no Onion chopped finely
  • 1/2 tsp Chilly powder
  • 1 no Green chilly chopped finely
  • Garam masala A pinch
  • Turmeric powder A pinch
  • Salt As reqd
  • Oil As reqd

Instructions
 

  • For preparing cauliflower fritters, cut the cauliflower into florets and wash them.
  • Take a bowl and stir in bengal gram powder, maida, chilly powder, garam masala, turmeric powder and required salt. Mix it well with a little water(it should be thick).
  • Into the same bowl add green chillies and onions. Mix well and keep it aside for 15 minutes for all the flavors to combine.
  • Heat oil in a deep frying pan.
  • Dip each cauliflower floret in the mixture and fry it till light brown.
  • Cauliflower fritters are ready. Serve hot as a snack.
