Pure Coconut Chutney

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups Coconut grated
  • 1 cup Roasted Gram Putnala Pappu
  • 2 tsp Green chillies chopped
  • 3 tsp Ginger
  • 10 nos Garlic Bulbs
  • 1 cup Curd
  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 4 nos Slender dry red chillies
  • 1/4 cup Curry leaves
  • Salt As reqd
  • 150 ml Refined oil

Instructions
 

  • Add oil to a pan and heat. Add grated coconut and fry. Add the green chilly pieces and ginger pieces. Fry for one more minute.
  • Take a grinding jar, add the fried coconut and green chillies, salt and the roasted gram. Grind into a thick dough.
  • Take the dough into a bowl and add curd. Mix well.
  • To a frying pan add remaining oil and heat. Splutter the mustard seeds, add dry red chillies, garlic bulbs and curry leaves and fry.
  • Add the above to the curd mixed dough and mix thoroughly.
  • This chutney has Universal utility. Can be used as side dish for dosa, upma, idly, vada and a variety of South Indian tiffins.
