Spinach Rolls

Mashed potatoes and other ingridents are mixed and rolled in soinach leaves. They are then dipped in batter and deep fried in oil

Ingredients
  

  • 25 to Spinach leaves
  • 4 nos Potatoes boiled and mashed
  • 1 1/2 tsp Dried mango powder/Aamchur Manga podi
  • 1 no Onion chopped finely
  • 3 nos Green chillies chopped finely
  • 1 tbsp Ghee
  • Salt As reqd
  • Oil As reqd
  • For the batter
  • 1/2 cup Bengal gram flour Kadala mavu
  • 1/2 cup Rice flour or plain flour
  • 1/2 tsp Chilly powder
  • Salt As reqd
  • 1 cup Water

Instructions
 

  • For preparing spinach rolls, heat ghee and sautT the onion for 1 minute.
  • Put the green chillies and sautT again for a few seconds.
  • Add the potatoes, dried mango powder and salt.
  • Cool and shape into rolls.
  • Put a small roll of the potato filling in the centre of spinach leaf and wrap the leaf round the potato roll.
  • Repeat the same procedure for the remaining filling and spinach leaves.
  • Take another bowl. Combine bengal gram flour, rice flour, chilly powder, salt and water to make a smooth batter.
  • Heat oil in a deep frying pan.
  • Dip the rolls in the batter and deep fry in oil.
  • Spinach Rolls are ready. Serve it hot with tomato ketchup.
