Banana Flower Vada

Banana flower is ground with other ingredients and deep fried in oil

Ingredients
  

  • 1 no Banana flower big one cleaned and diced small
  • 1 cup Bengal gram dal Kadala parippu
  • 4 tbsp Rice flour
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 3 nos Green chillies
  • 10 leaves Curry leaves
  • 2 tsp Coriander leaves chopped small
  • Salt As reqd
  • Oil As reqd

Instructions
 

  • For preparing banana flower vada, soak bengal gram dal in water for half an hour.
  • Drain and grind with green chillies, cumin seeds and half of cleaned banana flower. 3)Mix this mixture with finely chopped coriander, curry leaves and remaining banana flower.
  • Add salt and rice flour and mix them well. Make the vada in the shape of small balls.
  • Deep fry in oil until it becomes golden brown in color.
  • Banana flower vada is ready. Serve with tomato sauce or green chutney.
  • Tip: Serve it hot. Its aroma is so tempting.
