Coconut - black gram vadas with ginger, green chilly and onion

- 2 cups Black Gram husk removed
- 2 cups Coconut grated
- 1/2 cup Onions finely chopped
- 1/4 cup Green chillies finely chopped
- 1 tbsp Ginger finely chopped
- Salt As reqd
- 750 ml Refined oil
Soak the black gram over night and grind into a thick dough.
Add all the ingredients, except oil, to the dough and mix well. Allow to settle for some time.
Take oil in a deep bottomed pan and heat.
Prepare about three inch circular discs(of about one inch thick) and carefully add one after another to the boiling oil.
Deep fry until they turn brown in colour.
Serve hot with hot and sweet sauce.
