Tomatillo Chemmeen Curry
Tomatillo(look like green tomato, its a mexican tomato) with dried prawns

- 150 g Tomatillo chopped, resembles green tomato
- Dried prawns A handful
- 3 nos Green Chillies chopped
- 4 nos Shallots Kunjulli
- 1/2 cup Coconut grated
- 1 tsp Chilly powder
- 1/2 tsp Coriander powder
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- Mustard seeds Few
- 2 nos Dry red chillies
- Salt As reqd
- Oil As reqd
For preparing tomatillo chemmeen curry, first dry roast dried prawns and cook it with water, enough salt, green chilly and turmeric powder.
When it is cooked, add chopped tomatillo and cook in low flame until done.
Meanwhile, grind coconut with chilly powder and coriander powder. Add this to the cooked tomatillo and heat the curry. Do not boil.
Heat oil in a kadai, splutter mustard seeds, add dry red chillies and shallots. Saute well and then pour this to the curry.
Serve hot.
