Gherkins-Ivy Gourd Foogath
Gherkins with other ingredients are added to make this foogath

- 300 g Gherkins chopped, Kovakka
- 2 nos Green chillies slit
- 1 no Onion chopped finely
- 4 tbsp Coconut grated
- 1 tsp Mustard seeds
- Curry leaves A few
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tbsp Oil
- 1/2 cup Water
- Salt As reqd
For preparing gherkins/ivy gourd foogath, heat oil in a deep frying pan.
Splutter mustard seeds.
Then add curry leaves, gherkins, onion, green chilies, turmeric powder, grated coconut, salt and water. Mix it.
Allow it to cook on low flame for 5 minutes till the water evaporates.
Gherkins/ivy gourd foogath is ready. Serve as a side dish with rice.
