Dried Green Chilly
Green chillies are cooked in grated coconut and other ingredients

- 1/2 cup Green chillies
- 1/2 cup Coconut grated
- 1 tsp Ginger finely chopped
- 1 no Onion finely chopped
- Tamarind A small piece, Puli
- 1 spring Curry leaves
- Salt As reqd
- 1 tsp Oil
For preparing dried green chilly, grind grated coconut lightly on a stone.
Mix together onion, ginger, curry leaves, salt, tamarind and ground coconut with your hand. Add little water. Do not make it watery.
Add green chillies to this mixture.
Heat oil in a pan. Pour the mixture in it. Close the lid and cook.
After some time remove the lid and stir it. Remove it from the flame when water has evaporated completely.
Dried green chilly, a nadan recipe, is ready. Serve as a side dish with kanji or rice.
