Green chillies are cooked in grated coconut and other ingredients

  • For preparing dried green chilly, grind grated coconut lightly on a stone.
  • Mix together onion, ginger, curry leaves, salt, tamarind and ground coconut with your hand. Add little water. Do not make it watery.
  • Add green chillies to this mixture.
  • Heat oil in a pan. Pour the mixture in it. Close the lid and cook.
  • After some time remove the lid and stir it. Remove it from the flame when water has evaporated completely.
  • Dried green chilly, a nadan recipe, is ready. Serve as a side dish with kanji or rice.
