Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Daal Thuvara parippu
  • 1/2 tsp Chilly powder
  • 1/4 cup Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1 no Cinnamon Karugapatta
  • 3 nos Cardamom Elakka
  • 9 nos Cloves Grambu
  • 1/2 cup Onion
  • 3 cloves Garlic sliced
  • 6 nos Green chillies
  • Curry leaves Few
  • 1 cup Coconut milk
  • 1 tbsp Vinegar
  • Salt As reqd
  • 1/2 cup Tomato

Instructions
 

  • For preparing daal stew, first cook daal with chilly powder, turmeric powder and required water.
  • Heat oil in a pan, splutter mustard seeds and fry cinnamon, cardamom and cloves. Add onion, garlic, green chillies and curry leaves. Saute for few minutes.
  • Add the cooked daal, coconut milk, vinegar and salt. Mix well and simmer in low flame.
  • When the curry becomes medium thick, add tomato and cook for few minutes.
  • Daal stew, a tasty healthy diet recipe is ready. Serve with chappathi/rice.
