For preparing daal stew, first cook daal with chilly powder, turmeric powder and required water.
Heat oil in a pan, splutter mustard seeds and fry cinnamon, cardamom and cloves. Add onion, garlic, green chillies and curry leaves. Saute for few minutes.
Add the cooked daal, coconut milk, vinegar and salt. Mix well and simmer in low flame.
When the curry becomes medium thick, add tomato and cook for few minutes.
Daal stew, a tasty healthy diet recipe is ready. Serve with chappathi/rice.
