1 cup Daal (Thuvara parippu)1/2 tsp Chilly powder1/4 cup Oil1/2 tsp Turmeric powder1 tsp Mustard seeds1 no Cinnamon (Karugapatta)3 nos Cardamom (Elakka)9 nos Cloves (Grambu)1/2 cup Onion3 cloves Garlic (sliced)6 nos Green chilliesCurry leaves (Few)1 cup Coconut milk1 tbsp VinegarSalt (As reqd)1/2 cup Tomato For preparing daal stew, first cook daal with chilly powder, turmeric powder and required water.Heat oil in a pan, splutter mustard seeds and fry cinnamon, cardamom and cloves. Add onion, garlic, green chillies and curry leaves. Saute for few minutes.Add the cooked daal, coconut milk, vinegar and salt. Mix well and simmer in low flame.When the curry becomes medium thick, add tomato and cook for few minutes. Daal stew, a tasty healthy diet recipe is ready. Serve with chappathi/rice. Kerala
