Kothamara Masala Curry

A different taste with Kothamara/Cluster Beans

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2k g Kothamara/Cluster Beans
  • 1 no Onion big, thinly cut lengthwise
  • 2 nos Tomato medium size, thinly cut lengthwise
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1 dsp
  • 2 nos Green chillies chopped
  • 4 tbsp Sunflower oil
  • Curry Leaves Few
  • Coriander leaves Few
  • Salt As reqd
  • 1/4 cup Water

For preparing masala:

  • 2 tbsp Coriander powder
  • 1 tbsp Chilly powder
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp Garam masala

Instructions
 

  • Wash and cut cluster beans into thin pieces lengthwise diagonally.
  • Cook the beans by adding 1/4 cup of water, a pinch of salt and 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder till all the water is drained.
  • In a pan, heat oil and fry the onions till they are golden brown.
  • Add the ginger-garlic paste and fry till the raw smell is gone.
  • Add the masala, and after frying it for some time, add the tomatoes and green chillies and fry till the tomatoes are well cooked.
  • Add the cooked kothamara to the cooked masala, add more salt if required and fry for 2 more minutes on medium flame.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves and curry leaves. Serve hot.
  • NB: Believe me, those who does not like cluster beans will also like this twist in its taste.
