Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 kg White gourd Kumbalanga
  • 1/2 kg Pumpkin Mathanga
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 4 nos Red chillies
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds Jeerakam
  • 2 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1 cup Coconut grated
  • 2 cups Tuvar dal Tumara parippu
  • 2 tsp Urad dal
  • 2 tsp Coconut oil
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • For preparing molagootal - brahmin special recipe, wash tuvar dal and boil in cooker with sufficient quantity of water and turmeric powder.
  • Cut and wash white gourd and pumpkin. Boil in water. Add turmeric powder and salt.
  • Add the cooked tuvar dal(step 1) to the cooked vegetable.
  • Grind the grated coconut with red chillies and jeerakam.
  • Add this ground item to the 3rd step and cook for few minutes.
  • Fry mustard seeds and urad dal in coconut oil and add to the mixture.
  • Add curry leaves. Molagootal - brahmin special recipe, is ready.
