Gujarati Style Yogurt

Ingredients
  

  • 1/4 cup Yogurt
  • 1/4 cup Sour cream
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Chickpea powder sifted, kadala mavu
  • 1/2 tsp Ginger minced
  • 1 no Green chilly minced
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp Fenugreek seeds Uluva
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon powder
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tbsp Coriander leaves
  • 1 sprig Curry leaves
  • 2 nos Dry red chilies
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1/2 tbsp Ghee
  • sugar A pinch
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • Mix chickpea flour in water carefully, making sure that no lumps are formed.
  • Add turmeric, yogurt,Cinnamon, sugar and salt. Beat well.
  • Boil the mixture in low heat for 5-6 minutes, stirring continuously.
  • Place a frying pan on fire and melt ghee. Add mustard seeds, red chillies and when it splutters, add ginger, green chilly, curry leaves, fenugreek seeds and sugar..
  • Pour this into the boiling chickpea mixture and turn off the flame. Garnish with chopped coriander.
  • Gujarati style yogurt, a healthy and tasty side dish, is ready.
