Coconut Rice Balls - For Kids

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cup Rice flour
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • Salt As reqd
  • 1/4 cup Butter
  • Cardamom powder A pinch, Elakka
  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 4 nos Dry red chillies
  • 1 cup Coconut grated
  • Oil/Ghee For frying

Instructions
 

  • First bring to boil around 1/4 cup of water. Remove water from fire.
  • Stir in rice flour, butter, cardamom powder, sugar, coconut and required salt. Knead well into a soft dough adding extra boiled water if needed.
  • Heat oil in a pan, splutter mustard seeds and red chillies.
  • Pour it on the rice flour, Make small balls out of the dough and keep aside.
  • Place it in idly cooker, and cook for 10 minutes.
  • A tasty snack for kids and elders.
