Easy Fish-Machhli Amritsari
Marinated fish fillets are coated with a thick batter of gram flour, curd, other ingredients and finally deep fried

- 4 nos Fish fillets cut into half inch sized cubes
- 50 g Curd
- 100 g Gram flour Kadala mavu
- 1/2 tbsp Garlic paste
- 1/2 tbsp Ginger paste
- 1/2 tbsp Red chilly powder
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds
- 1 tsp Cumin powder
- 1/2 tbsp Lemon juice
- 1 no Egg
- Oil For frying
- Salt As reqd
first marinate the fish cubes in a mixture of ginger-garlic pastes, lemon juice, red chilly powder and salt. Keep aside for 30 minutes.
Mix together egg, gram flour, curd, salt and little water into a fine thick batter.
Dip the marinated fish cubes in this batter and keep aside for 15 minutes.
Deep fry the fish cubes in hot oil till golden brown in color.
Heat oil in pan, splutter cumin seeds, curry leaves, cumin powder and add fish pieces and dry fry it.
Easy fish/machhli amritsari, a yummy dish is ready. Serve hot by sprinkling chaat masala and decorating with lemon wedges.
