  • first marinate the fish cubes in a mixture of ginger-garlic pastes, lemon juice, red chilly powder and salt. Keep aside for 30 minutes.
  • Mix together egg, gram flour, curd, salt and little water into a fine thick batter.
  • Dip the marinated fish cubes in this batter and keep aside for 15 minutes.
  • Deep fry the fish cubes in hot oil till golden brown in color.
  • Heat oil in pan, splutter cumin seeds, curry leaves, cumin powder and add fish pieces and dry fry it.
  • Easy fish/machhli amritsari, a yummy dish is ready. Serve hot by sprinkling chaat masala and decorating with lemon wedges.
