Mutton Stir Fry In Assamese Style

Mutton pieces marinated in curd, other ingredients and cooked in a pan until dry

Ingredients
  

  • 250 g Mutton
  • 1 no Onion chopped
  • 3 nos Green chillies split
  • 1 no Bay leaf
  • 1 small Ginger crushed
  • 5 nos Garlic cloves crushed
  • 1/2 tbsp Garam masala powder
  • 1/2 cup Curd whipped
  • 1/2 cup Mustard oil
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • Marinate the mutton pieces with curd, turmeric, required salt and 1/2 tbsp of oil. Leave mutton pieces aside for 2 hours.
  • Heat remaining oil in a hard bottomed pan and sautT ginger, garlic and bay leaf. Fry onion and green chillies.
  • Stir in marinated mutton pieces and mix gently. Cover with a lid and cook in low heat for about 30 minutes or until done.
  • Add garam masala and mix well.
  • Stir fry the mutton pieces until tender and dry.
  • Mutton stir fry in Assamese style is ready, serve hot and enjoy.
