Butter Crab
Butter crab is prepared by cooking marinated crab pieces in ground pepper, crab stock, shallots, garlic and other ingredients

- 250 g Crab cooked adding salt
- 1 cup Coconut milk
- 2 nos Onion sliced
- Turmeric powder A pinch
- 1 tsp Garlic crushed
- ½ tsp Lemon juice
- 1 ½ Butter
- Curry leaves s sprigs
- ¼ tsp Mustard seeds
- ½ tsp Pepper crushed
- ½ tbsp Coriander leaves chopped
- Salt As reqd
1)For preparing butter crab, cut the crabs into medium size pieces.
Melt butter in a pan and splutter mustard seeds. Add garlic, onion and curry leaves adding salt and turmeric powder.
Fry for 2 minutes and add crab. Mix well and cook covered for 5 minutes.
Now add coconut milk and bring to boil. Cook covered in low flame till the gravy thickens.
Garnish with crushed pepper and coriander leaves. Serve hot with rice, chappathy etc.
