Prawn Pulav

Ingredients
  

  • 125 g Prawns medium size, cleaned, washed and drained
  • 1/2 cup Rice Basmati
  • 2 nos Cloves Grambu
  • 1 no Cardamom Elakka
  • 1 no Onion chopped
  • 1 no Tomato chopped
  • 1/2 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 1/4 tsp Chilly powder
  • Turmeric powder A pinch
  • 1/4 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1/4 tsp Cumin powder Jeerakam
  • 1/4 tsp Garam masala
  • Coriander leaves chopped
  • 1/2 tbsp Oil
  • 1 cup Water
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • For preparing prawn pulav, first soak basmati rice in sufficient water for 30 minutes.
  • Take a vessel and add oil, cloves, cardamom and chopped onions. Cook on low heat for 4 minutes.
  • Stir in all the ingredients except rice: prawns, tomato, ginger-garlic paste, chilly powder, turmeric, coriander, cumin powder, garam masala and salt. Cook it for 5 more minutes.
  • Stir in the rice to the mixture and add 1 cup of water. Cook till the water is evapourated (15 minutes).
  • Prawn pulav is ready. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
