Corn Flour Halwa

Sugar, cornflour, milk and other ingredients are combined to prepare sohan halwa

Ingredients
  

  • 250 g Corn flour
  • 250 g Sugar
  • ¼ cup Milk
  • ½ tsp Cardamom powder
  • 250 gms Ghee
  • Saffron A pinch
  • ½ cup Dry fruits

Instructions
 

  • Mix corn flour in 1/4 cup of water and milk.
  • Soak saffron in water and keep aside.
  • Make sugar syrup by dissolve the sugar in 1/2 cup of water and boil till string consistency.
  • Add the corn flour mixture and cook in low flame stiring continuously.
  • Add ghee and cardamom powder. Continue stirring till the ghee seperates.
  • Add dry fruits and mix well.
  • Pour the halwa into a greased plate and allow to cool.
  • Cut the corn flour halwa into desired shapes and serve.
