Goan Fish Vindaloo
Fish pieces cooked in ginger-garlic pastes, tomato puree, cumin powder and other ingredients

- 500 g Fish boneless,sliced
- 1 tsp Mustard seeds
- 2 tbsp Shallots chopped
- 1 tsp Ginger Garlic paste
- 1 no Onion chopped
- 1 no Tomato pureed
- 1 tsp Chilly Powder
- 1 tsp Cumin Powder Jeerakam
- 1 tbsp Vinegar
- 1/2 tbsp Lemon juice
- 1 tsp Pepper powder
- 1 tbsp Oil
- Salt As reqd
- Water As reqd
First clean the fish and drain well.
Marinate the fish with lemon and salt and fry lightly.
Heat oil in a frying pan and fry onions to a golden brown color.
Add ginger-garlic paste and sautT for a minute.
Stir in chilly powder, cumin powder, pepper powder, tomato puree, required salt and fry for a few seconds.
Add lightly fried fish pieces and vinegar. Mix well.
Pour little water and cook till you get a slightly thick gravy.
In a pan, Heat little oil and deep fry shallots. Finally pour it on the gravy.
Place the Goan fish vindaloo in a serving bowl and serve hot with plain rice.
