Raw Banana Fry

Raw banana/vazhakka pieces cooked with little water, salt, turmeric and stir fried

Ingredients
  

  • 1 no Raw banana cut into small squares, Vazhakka
  • 2 tsp Chilly powder
  • 1/2 tbsp Garlic paste
  • Turmeric powder A pinch
  • Curry leaves Few
  • Mustard seeds Few
  • Oil As reqd
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • For preparing raw banana fry, first cook the washed banana pieces with some water, turmeric powder and required salt.
  • Cover with a lid and cook in low heat until the vazhakka pieces are done and water has evaporated fully.
  • Heat oil in a frying pan and crackle mustard seeds. Add garlic paste, chilly powder and curry leaves. Stir in cooked vazhakka pieces.
  • Fry the raw banana/vazhakka pieces to a golden brown color.
  • Raw banana fry, a favorite kerala dish, is ready. Serve hot.
