Pearl Spot-Karimeen Fry
Pearl spot fish marinated in a mixture of lemon juice, red chillies, other ingredients and later deep fried

- 4 nos Pearl Spot/Karimeen washed and drained
- 3/4 tbsp Lime juice
- Oil As reqd
For preparing marinade:
- 4 nos Shallots
- 4 nos Pepper corns
- 4 cloves Garlic
- 4 nos Dry red chillies
- Salt As reqd
For preparing pearl spot/karimeen fry, first make slits on the drained karimeen pieces and smear lime juice over the fishes.
Meanwhile grind together shallots, pepper corns, garlic, dry red chillies and required salt to a smooth paste.
Apply the marinade on the karimeen and keep aside for 1 hour.
Heat oil in a frying pan and deep fry the karimeen on both sides till golden brown in color.
Pearl spot/karimeen fry, a tasty and nutritious recipe, is ready. Serve hot with onion rings.
