- Pearl Spot/Karimeen(washed and drained) - 4 nos
- Lime juice - 3/4 tbsp
- Oil(As reqd) -

- Shallots - 4 nos
- Pepper corns - 4 nos
- garlic - 4 cloves
- Dry red chillies - 4 nos
- Salt(As reqd) -

Instructions
- For preparing pearl spot/karimeen fry, first make slits on the drained karimeen pieces and smear lime juice over the fishes.
- Meanwhile grind together shallots, pepper corns, garlic, dry red chillies and required salt to a smooth paste.
- Apply the marinade on the karimeen and keep aside for 1 hour.
- Heat oil in a frying pan and deep fry the karimeen on both sides till golden brown in color.
- Pearl spot/karimeen fry, a tasty and nutritious recipe, is ready. Serve hot with onion rings.
