Ingredients
  

  • 500 g Chicken pieces washed and drained
  • 2 nos Onions finely chopped
  • Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbsp
  • 1 no Tomato finely chopped
  • 1 1/2 tsp Chilly powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Fennel seed powder Perumjeerakam
  • 1/2 tsp Garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds Jeerakam
  • 3 tsp Freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tbsp Coriander leaves finely chopped
  • Oil For frying
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • For preparing pepper chicken recipe, first heat oil in a frying pan and splutter mustard seeds. Add fennel seed powder and saute in low heat.
  • Add ginger-garlic paste and saute till golden brown in color.
  • Stir in drained chicken pieces and sprinkle red chilly powder, turmeric powder, garam masala and required salt. Saute for a few seconds in low heat.
  • Add coriander powder, cumin seeds and pepper powder. Cook in medium heat.
  • When the chicken pieces are half done, add chopped tomatoes and coriander leaves. Mix well and cover the pan with a lid. Cook in low flame until done.
  • Pepper chicken recipe, an apt dish with chapathis or parathas, is ready. Serve hot.
