Paneer Masala Fry

Deep fried paneer cubes mixed with spicy masala

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup Paneer cubes
  • 1 no Onion finely chopped
  • 1 no Tomato finely chopped
  • 1/4 tsp Garam masala
  • 1/4 tsp Chilly powder
  • 1/4 tsp Pepper powder
  • 1 tomato Tomato puree extracted
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • Curry leaves Few
  • Coriander leaves Few
  • 1/4 tsp Mustard seeds
  • Oil As reqd
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • For preparing paneer masala fry, first heat oil in a pan and fry the paneer cubes to a golden color. Keep this aside.
  • In the remaining oil, splutter mustard seeds and fry chopped onion and curry leaves.
  • When the onions are browned, add chopped tomato and saute for a few seconds.
  • Add garam masala, chilly powder, pepper powder and turmeric powder. Fry in low flame for a few seconds.
  • Stir in fried paneer cubes, tomato puree, chopped coriander leaves and required salt. Mix well in low flame and when the gravy thickens, remove the vessel from fire.
  • Paneer masala fry, a yummy north indian dish, is ready. Enjoy.
