Mix together curd, turmeric powder, salt, jeera powder and lemon juice. Coat the paste on the chicken pieces and keep aside for marination(1 1/2 hrs).
Heat oil in a pan and fry the marinated chicken till browned.
Keep fried chicken pieces aside.
Heat Butter in a pan.
Saute onions and fry till it turns brown.
Pour tomato puree and saute until butter comes out of it and the paste is fully cooked.
Mix together coriander powder, garlic, ginger, turmeric, red chilly powder, chicken masala, green chillies and required salt. Add this to the tomato puree mixture and fry well.
Add fried chicken pieces and add little water.
Put some coriander leaves and cover the pan for about 10 minutes on a slow heat.
Serve with rice or roti.
