Fish Curry With Tomato Easy

Fish curry cooked in ground tomato and shallot paste

Ingredients
  

  • 250 g Any fleshy fish
  • 2 nos Tomato small
  • 1/2 cup Shallots Kunjulli
  • 5 nos Dry red chillies crushed
  • 5 cloves Garlic crushed
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper powder
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tbsp Tomato sauce
  • 1/2 tsp All purpose flour Maida
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • Coriander leaves chopped
  • Oil As reqd
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • For preparing fish curry with tomato, first boil and cook the tomatoes in hot boiling water for a few minutes. Peel off the outer skin when cold enough to handle.
  • Grind the shallots and tomato pulp in a mixer. Keep this aside.
  • Take a pan and heat oil. Stir in maida flour and fry in low heat. Add crushed garlic and crushed red chillies. Saute in low heat.
  • Add turmeric powder and required salt. Add ground tomato shallot paste and saute well till oil accumulates on top.
  • Pour 1/4 cup water and add fish pieces. Cover with a lid and cook in low heat until done.
  • When the fish pieces are cooked, add tomato sauce and pepper powder. Mix and boil for a few seconds.
  • Fish curry with tomato is ready. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
