Chana Cutlet

Ingredients
  

  • 100 g White Channa Chickpeas
  • 1 no Potato medium size,boiled and mashed
  • 1 no Carrot finely chopped
  • 50 g Beans finely chopped
  • 2 inch Ginger finely chopped
  • 2-3 Green chillies finely chopped
  • Coriander leaves Few
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala
  • Egg white from one egg
  • 2-3 tsp Cornflour
  • 100 g Bread crumbs
  • Salt As reqd
  • Oil for shallow frying

Instructions
 

  • Soak the channa(chickpeas) over night. Pressure cook them till it is completely cooked.
  • After cooking them grind it coarsely in a mixer without adding water. Keep it aside.
  • Add two tsp of oil in a frying pan. After the oil heats up, add ginger and green chillies and fry them for about a minute.
  • Then add the finely chopped carrot and beans and cook for about 5 to 10 minutes.Please do not add water. Cover the frying pan.
  • Add salt as reqd and garam masala while cooking. When this mixture is ready, combine the channa paste, mashed potato and cornflour into it.
  • Add finely chopped coriander leaves also. Mix them well.
  • Make small patties of the mixture. Dip in egg white and then in bread crumbs.
  • Roast them on a tava with required oil. Nutritious protein rich delicious cutlets are ready. Serve them with Tomato sauce or mayonnaise.
