Add water, chopped tomatoes and chopped green chillies in a vessel and boil the contents.
After boiling for 4 minutes, take away from heat and using a ladle, try mashing the softened tomatoes.
Get the vessel back on flame and add salt, turmeric powder, chilly powder, coriander powder and the crushed peppercorns. Allow to boil for the next 2-3 minutes.
Add the pepper powder, curry leaves and lemon juice, and continue boiling for another 2 minutes.
Take off from flame and add coriander leaves and close lid tight.
Serve with steaming rice or can be taken plainly, as a digestive.
