Muringakka Thoran (Drumstick Fry)

Ingredients
  

  • 10-12 nos Drumsticks
  • 3-4 nos Green chilies
  • 1 small Garlic
  • 1 1/2 cup Coconut grated
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp Coconut oil
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
  • Curry leaves a few

Instructions
 

  • Cut the edges of the drumstick and peel the outer skin lightly and then cut it into 2 to 3 inch long pieces.
  • Cook the drumstick with turmeric and salt in a little water on low flame.
  • When the drumstick is half cooked, add 3 green chilies slit vertically.
  • When the drumsticks are cooked fully, they change color and start coming apart when poked with a spoon.
  • Grind the coconut with 1 garlic clove to a coarse paste without adding water, keep aside.
  • Add the paste to the drumstick and cook for a while.
  • Add salt if required more.
  • Heat oil in a pan, splutter mustard seeds and fry the curry leaves. 9)Pour over the drumsticks and mix well.
  • :- Muringakka Thoran is ready to serve with hot rice!!!
