Sindhi Sai Bhaji (Sindhi Palak Dish)

Ingredients
  

  • 2 bunches Fresh palak
  • 2 nos Tomatoes medium size
  • 1 no Onion medium size
  • 1 no Carrot diced
  • 1 no Potato medium size
  • 1 cup Chana Dal soaked - 2 hrs prior
  • 2-3 nos Green chilies
  • 1 inch Ginger
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp Coriander powder
  • 1 tsp Garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp Jeera
  • 3-4 pods Garlic chopped
  • 1-2 tbsp Oil

Instructions
 

  • Add all ingredients except jeera, oil and garlic in a pressure cooker with 1-2 cup of water and pressure cook in for 15 minutes or till done.
  • Mash these ingredients with a hand masher till completely smashed but do not turn it to a paste.
  • Keep it to simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Take 2 tablespoons of oil and splutter jeera and saute garlic.
  • Add this to the sai bhaji.
  • :- Serve hot with plain rice or pulao or the traditional Sindhi rice Bhugal Chanvaar or Brown rice.
