Ingredients
  

  • 1 no Cabbage nicely chopped
  • 4 nos Shallots medium size
  • 1 cup Coconut grated
  • 3 nos Green chilli
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 sprig Curry leaves
  • Salt as reqd
  • 3 tsp Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in a kadai.
  • Splutter the mustard seeds and then add curry leaves.
  • Add the chopped cabbage, salt and turmeric powder then sautT well (do not add water). Close the kadai with a lid.
  • Take a mixer and add the coconut, shallots and green chillies. Just beat it. :- Don¦t make it as a paste, but make sure that the shallots and green chillies are shredded.
  • Add the ground coconut mixture to the cooked cabbage and mix well.
  • Keep it in the low flame for another one minute and take it off
  • Note:- Add urad dal with mustards, this will give a different taste to thoran.
