Peel, wash, dice and cook potatoes by adding little salt.
Drain and keep it in a bowl.
:-Make sure that the potato dices are cooked well but not get mashed.
Marinate cooked potato dices with turmeric powder, kashmiri chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala and chat masala.
Keep it aside.
Heat oil in a pan and splutter cumin seeds.
Saute chopped onion and green chillies till onion becomes brown.
Add asafoetida powder along with marinated potato dices and mix well.
Make sure that the potato do not get mashed.
Fry it in a medium flame for about 15 minutes.
Check salt and add more if needed.
Sprinkle chopped coriander leaves just before removing it from fire.
:-Serve hot with rice & dal or with rotis.
