Biriyani With Bacon Offcuts

Ingredients
  

  • 250 gm Bacon
  • 1 no Onion
  • 2 nos Garlic pods
  • 1 small Ginger
  • 2 cups Basmati rice
  • 3 1/2 cups Water
  • 1/2 tbsp Chilly powder
  • 2 tbsp Garam masala
  • Salt As reqd
  • Oil As reqd
  • Coriander leaves As reqd

Instructions
 

  • Fry bacon pieces in oil.
  • When half done, add thinly sliced onion, chopped ginger and garlic.
  • When the onion turn golden brown, add washed rice and fry for at least 5 minutes.
  • Add chilly powder, garam masala, water and salt as required.
  • Allow it to boil.
  • When water starts simmering, turn done the heat to low level so as to allow the rice to cook completely.
  • :- It should be done in 15 minutes.
  • Sprinkle coriander leaves and enjoy with curd/pickle.
  • :- You can replace bacon with beef or chicken fillet and if u`ve got a few quids to spend add cashews and raisins too.
