Kerala Cherupayar Curry | Green Gram Curry

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups Cherupayar
  • 1 cup Coconut grated
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin powder
  • 1 no Green chilly
  • 1/2 tsp Turmuric powder
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • Salt to taste
  • Curry leaves Few
  • Shallots Few

Instructions
 

  • For preparing the dish, first cook cherupayar well in a pressure cooker.
  • Meanwhile grind together coconut, cumin powder, turmuric powder, garlic, green chilli and salt.
  • Add this mixture to the cooked cherupayar and bring to boil. Remove pan from fire. Heat oil and fry sliced shallots and curry leaves. Pour this seasoning into the prepared Cherupayar Curry.
  • Serve it hot.
