Ingredients
  

  • 1 glass Basmati rice
  • 1 no Carrot grated
  • 1/2 cup Green peas
  • 3 nos Eggs
  • 1 cup Prawns 20 pieces
  • 2 nos Green chillies
  • 2 tbsp Vanaspati ghee
  • 2 nos Cinnamon Karugapatta
  • 1 no Bay leaf Vazhana/Karuga ela
  • 4 nos Cardamom Elakka
  • 1 tbsp Chilly powder
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • Pepper (grinded)
  • 1 no Onion
  • Salt As reqd
  • Water As reqd
  • 2 tbsp Lime water

Instructions
 

  • Cook the basmati rice with salt and bay leaves in a pressure cooker or microwave oven.
  • Heat 1 tbsp of ghee in a pan.
  • Add the cinnamon, cardamom and finely chopped onion and stir well on a medium flame.
  • When the onion turns golden brown, add the beaten egg into it and stir fast to scramble it.
  • Meanwhile, marinate the prawns with chilly powder, turmeric powder and salt in 2 tbsp of lime water.
  • Add it into the pan along with the grated carrot.
  • Add 1/2 cup of water and cook on low flame for 10 mins.
  • Add peas to it and finally add the cooked rice.
  • Sprinkle the ground pepper and 1 tbsp of ghee.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
  • :- Serve hot with coriander chutney and mango pickle.
