Superfast Chappati Curry

Ingredients
  

  • 1/4 cup Bengal gram flour Kadalapodi
  • 1 no Onion finely chopped, medium
  • 1/2 of Tomato finely chopped
  • 2 nos Green chillies finely chopped
  • Salt As reqd
  • Black gram(Uzhunnuparippu)
  • Mustard seeds
  • Oil

Instructions
 

  • Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan.
  • Add 1 tsp of urad dal and mustard.
  • After the mustard crackles, add the onions and green chillies and fry the onions till pale and transparent.
  • Add the chopped tomato and cook until the tomato is mashed well.
  • Add a little salt just enough for the onion and tomato.
  • Add water to this just to cover the onion and tomato and let it get cooked.
  • Meanwhile, add 1 cup of water to the bengal gram flour with a little turmeric and salt enough for this mixture.
  • Mix well such that the bengal gram flour gets blended well in the water.
  • After the onion and tomato mixture gets cooked, add the gram flour solution to this and keep stirring well until the mixture thickens.
  • :- This tastes great with chappathis.
