Ingredients
  

  • 1 small Tamarind Puli
  • 4 cups Water
  • 10 nos Garlic pods crushed
  • 5 nos Shallots sliced
  • 1 small Tomato chopped
  • 1/2 tsp Asafoetida powder
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Pepper powder
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp Fenugreek powder Uluva
  • Salt As reqd
  • 3 tbsp Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard
  • 3 nos Dry red chillies Kollamulaku

Instructions
 

  • Soak tamarind in 4 cups of water and extract the tamarind pulp.
  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Splutter mustard seeds.
  • Add crushed ginger and sliced small onion and saute till it becomes light brown.
  • Add dry red chillies, asafoetida powder, pepper powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, fenugreek powder and salt and saute well. Add chopped tomato and saute till it get mashed well.
  • 6)Add tamarind water and mix it well and bring it to boil.
  • :- Serve hot with rice.
