Dry Fish Curry Easy

Andhra special - Dry fish curry in tomato

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 kg Dry ribbon fish also known as belt fish
  • It is bilaterally compressed long ribbon like fish with silvery sheen
  • 1 cup Onion chopped
  • Ginger garlic paste - 2 tbsp
  • 2 tbsp Red chilly powder
  • 1 tbsp Mustard seeds
  • 1 tbsp Coriander powder
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • Salt As reqd
  • 100 - Refined oil
  • 1 cup Tomato chopped

Instructions
 

  • Cut each fish into 5 - 6 pieces and wash well.
  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Add fish pieces and fry until light brown.
  • Add onions, red chilli powder, ginger-garlic paste, mustard seeds, turmeric powder and coriander powder.
  • Add salt and mix well.
  • After a short while, add chopped tomatoes.
  • Mix well and fry until the oil gets separated.
  • Add little water and cook until it is done.
