Brinjal Smash

Ingredients
  

  • 3 nos Brinjal Vazhuthananga
  • 1 no Onion
  • 3 nos Garlic pods
  • Tamarind(Puli) paste for taste
  • Salt As reqd
  • 1/2 spoon Chilly powder
  • 1 pinch Turmeric powder
  • 2 sprigs Curry leaves
  • Coconut oil As reqd

Instructions
 

  • Cut brinjals into small pieces and fry well in coconut oil. Keep it aside.
  • Fry onion and garlic in the remaining oil.
  • Add fried brinjal and mix.
  • Add chilly powder and turmeric powder. Mix and fry for a while.
  • Add tamarind paste and salt and few drops of water. Mix well.
  • Cook for 2 mins.
  • Smash it well and add fried curry leaves.
  • :- You can use it with biriyani and rice, or as a substitute for pickle.
