Paalak Rice

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 kg Spinach Paalak
  • 1/2 kg Rice
  • 4 - Green chillies
  • 5 - Garlic pods
  • Salt As reqd
  • 1 tbsp Cumin seeds Jeerakam
  • 1 no Onion
  • 3 tbsp Oil

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in a vessel.
  • Add cumin seeds, slit green chillies, sliced onion and garlic cloves and fry them till they are done (brown).
  • Add chopped and washed spinach and fry for some time.
  • Add the washed rice and fry till the rice becomes transparent.
  • Add water to the ratio of 1:2 to the rice.
  • Add salt and cook as you cook the regular rice.
