Original Butter Chicken

Real version of butter chicken u taste in tamilnadu restaurants

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 kg Chicken breast or thighs boneless
  • 3 nos Onion
  • 4 nos Tomato
  • 10 nos Cashew or Almonds
  • 1 tsp Poppy seeds Khashakhasha
  • 1/2 - Red chilly powder
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 pinch Red colour
  • 1/4 cup Milk or Cream
  • 8 tbsp Butter 1 stick) or more as req
  • 3/4 tsp Garam masala Everest
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin powder Jeerakam
  • 1 tsp Soy sauce light
  • 1/2 tsp Ajinomotto

Instructions
 

  • Fry 2 onions in oil and make a paste. Chop the other onion and keep it aside.
  • Boil tomatoes in hot water and peel skin and grind it.
  • Soak poppy seeds and cashews in warm milk for 1 hr and grind it.
  • Heat butter in pressure cooker.
  • Add the chopped onion and fry well.
  • Add ginger-garlic paste and fry it a little.
  • Add chicken and fry for 5 mins.
  • Add red chilly powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, salt and tomato puree and fry till oil separates.
  • Add little water and cook upto 1 -2 whistles.
  • Add rest of milk with cashew and poppy seed paste, ajinomotto, soy sauce and red colour and cook it till butter comes out.
  • :- If u want, u can add more butter at this time, but it is optional.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
