Original Butter Chicken Real version of butter chicken u taste in tamilnadu restaurants 1/2 kg Chicken breast or thighs boneless3 nos Onion4 nos Tomato10 nos Cashew or Almonds1 tsp Poppy seeds (Khashakhasha)1/2 - Red chilly powder1/4 tsp Turmeric powder1 pinch Red colour1/4 cup Milk or Cream8 tbsp Butter (1 stick) or more as req)3/4 tsp Garam masala (Everest)Ginger (garlic paste - 1 tsp)1/2 tsp Cumin powder (Jeerakam)1 tsp Soy sauce (light)1/2 tsp Ajinomotto Fry 2 onions in oil and make a paste. Chop the other onion and keep it aside.Boil tomatoes in hot water and peel skin and grind it.Soak poppy seeds and cashews in warm milk for 1 hr and grind it.Heat butter in pressure cooker.Add the chopped onion and fry well.Add ginger-garlic paste and fry it a little.Add chicken and fry for 5 mins.Add red chilly powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, salt and tomato puree and fry till oil separates.Add little water and cook upto 1 -2 whistles.Add rest of milk with cashew and poppy seed paste, ajinomotto, soy sauce and red colour and cook it till butter comes out.:- If u want, u can add more butter at this time, but it is optional.Garnish with coriander leaves.
