Kadala Masala

A spicy kadala curry

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 cups Kadala Channa
  • 1 - Onion
  • 2 nos Green chillies
  • 1/2" piece Ginger
  • 1 no Tomato small
  • 1/2 tsp Garam masala powder
  • 1 tsp Chilly powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • Oil to saute
  • Coriander leaves
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • Soak the channa(kadala) overnight.
  • Add required water and salt and boil it in a pressure cooker.
  • Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.
  • Saute all the ingredients other than tomato, coriander leaves and channa.
  • Add tomatoes and saute it for a while.
  • When done, add the boiled channa and bring it to boil for a minute.
  • When its done too, add the finely chopped coriander leaves.
  • :- Serve hot.
