Tapioca Rolls

A delicious evening snack with Tapioca(Kappa)

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb Tapioca cut into small cubes, Kappa
  • 3 nos Green chillies
  • 1 no Onion medium
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  • Salt As reqd
  • 2 cups Bread crumbs
  • 3 tbsp Corn flour
  • Oil for deep frying

Instructions
 

  • Boil the tapioca until it becomes tender.
  • Mash the tender tapiocas and keep aside.
  • Heat a little oil in a skillet.
  • Splutter the mustard seeds.
  • Add the onions and green chillies and saute until onion becomes tender.
  • Add turmeric powder and cook for a while.
  • Add the mashed tapioca and salt into the skillet and mix them altogether.
  • Remove from the flame and allow it to cool to a medium temperature.
  • Make cornflour batter by mixing corn flour with 3 - 5 tbsp of water.
  • Roll the mix into desired shape(circular,cylindrical.diamond) and dip in the cornflour batter and then in bread crumbs to get a nice and thick coating.
  • After all the mix is done, keep the rolls in a refrigerator for about half an hour.
  • Heat oil in a skillet and deep fry the rolls until golden brown.
  • :- Serve hot with ketchup or mint chutney.
