Semiya Uppumavu

Uppuma made of Vermicelli and Moong sprouts

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Semiya roasted, Vermicelli
  • 1 no Tomato finely chopped
  • 1 no Onion finely chopped
  • 2 nos Green chillies chopped
  • 2 tbsp Grated coconut
  • 1 tbsp Lime juice
  • 1 tsp Black gram Uzhunnuparippu
  • 3 tsp Moong sprouts Cherupayar molappichathu
  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1/4 cup Boiling water
  • 1 sprig Curry leaves
  • 3 tbsp Coriander leaves chopped
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.
  • Add mustard seeds, let it crackle.
  • Add black gram, curry leaves and green chillies and stir.
  • Add onion and saute till it`s pink.
  • Add tomato and moong sprouts, and saute for a few seconds.
  • Add water, lime juice and salt.
  • Add roasted vermicelli to it and cook for 2 - 3 mins to drain excess water.
  • :- Serve hot with chopped coriander leaves and grated coconut.
