Brinjal Gosthu

Brinjal curry as side dish for dosa, idli and pongal

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Green gram Moong dhal
  • 2 nos Tomato
  • 1 no Onion
  • 3 nos Green chillies
  • Salt As reqd
  • 10 nos Brinjal Vazhuthananga
  • 1 no Carrot lengthier one, if reqd
  • Coriander leaves for garnishing

For seasoning:-

  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • Ginger A little, crushed
  • Garlic A little, crushed
  • 1 - Cloves Grambu
  • Cinnamon A small piece, Karugapatta
  • Cumin seeds A pinch, Jeerakam
  • Aniseeds A pinch, Perinjeerakam
  • Curry leaves A few

Instructions
 

  • Cook the above with required water in cooker for 2 - 4 whistles.
  • Mash a little if required.
  • Season with oil, crushed ginger, crushed garlic, cloves, cinnamon, jeera, aniseeds and curry leaves.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
